National Hoops Ministries was developed in 2004 out of the Westgate Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC USA. Director/Evangelist Mike Washer and his family began to travel across the Unites States conducting tournaments for local churches in dependence on the Lord and God has grown the ministry. After praying for a new area to branch out into, God allowed a survey trip and first tournament in the Philippines in 2007. Robbie Asuncion became the contact person in the Philippines and quickly grew a burden for the ministry. God opened up a connection with the PBA and many other doors. Years were spent praying for a full time evangelist for this ministry and it was an answer to prayer when Amos Antonio entered the picture in 2009. After graduating from Bible College, Amos spent a year in training in the USA. National Hoops officially began full time in July of 2012.
